Deactivate Metals
METALfree is a highly effective metal deactivation agent that prevents staining and discoloration from iron, copper, and other trace metals that may be in pool fill water or in water added to maintain water level. It should be used as part of a well-designed pool maintenance program where local water requires it, or where well water is the pool water source.
METALfree does not raise phosphate levels in pool water. Since phosphates have been proven to be the limiting nutrient for algae growth, keeping phosphates at a very low level is desirable.
When used as directed, Metal Free:

Deactivates metals without adding phosphates to water
- Not affected by pH or temperature
- Prevents stains and water discoloration
Use to treat the following symptoms: Scale/stain on pool walls or green-tinted pool water caused by metals present in water.
